Treasure Box Tuesday, 8-31-21
Welcome to Treasure Box Tuesday, my weekly roundup of all things faith + family + spirit. I hope you enjoy. As usual, if you love this email, share it with someone else who will love it, too!
Evaluating Spiritual Wellness — How often do we check in on how we’re doing spiritually? This easy GUIDE is a great way to check in. It’s a more spiffed up version of the free one I’ve had on my website for years. I hope you enjoy! (Note: the version linked is licensed for up to 100 copies — aka your congregation. There is also a PERSONAL version for you and a few friends.)
Blackout Prayers — I love this as a spiritual practice. Austin Kleon’s are WONDERFUL
Your Name is a Song — So incredibly lovely, and true. Immediately #wishlisted THIS BOOK when I saw it.
Inspiring, Beautiful, and True — I watched the movie RIVER RUNNER this week and it exceeded my expectations on every level. It’s a story about redemption, hard work, practice, athleticism and so much more. I recommend it 100% (some language and adult themes, not for small kids — I think it’d be appropriate for middle school and up but always do your own vetting before taking my word for it. :)
More Poetry, Please — Poetry slips into cracks of life. You can pick it up for two minutes, instead of scrolling. You can look at a POEM A DAY, or read through a whole book. I’m currently reading AN AMERICAN SUNRISE.
Enjoy the treasures, friends,
